Oxford Mississippi
Oxford is the county seat of Lafayette County. The 2010 Census recorded Oxford's population as just over 14,000. Oxford has the University of Mississippi which is also known as Ole Miss, cultural events and historic areas. Concerts and musicals are performed at the Ford Center for the Performing Arts at the University OF MS. Other cultural events held in Oxford include an annual book conference and an arts festival such as The Double Decker Festival in late April. The University of Mississippi Museum has collections of art and antiquities. Oxford's town square has upscale restaurants and specialty shops. Oxford residents can take city buses to the university and the town square.
